Passive Mana Shield

Postby Ensabahnur » Tue Dec 01, 2009 7:02 am

Has anyone created a passive mana shield ability? This was done in a few AoS maps but I'm not sure what the best way to go about doing it is.

Basically, the unit will lose mana instead of hp until it has no mana.

If anyone could point me in the right direction or help that would be appreciated.

Easiest way would be to trigger it since the damage taken event occurs just before the unit takes damage.

So its possible to "block" damage and decerease mana instead.

This just means that you need to for example trigger your lifesteal effects too, so you dont steal life from damage that is actually blocked.

But since its best to trigger it all anyways, this isnt so big problem.
No Marlo, no game.

On an unrelated note.

I made an Alchemist hero, only he's purple all the time and spikes seem to keep coming out of his body, any idea on how to remove the spikes but keep him purple all the time?

Currently, the Art - Required Animation Names field is set to Alternate

They are part of the alternate model, you need to edit it if you want to get rid of them.
