Major spoiler- epic cutscene

Postby Mur » Wed Sep 24, 2008 3:52 pm

This is the best thing that has happened to the warcraft universe since Grom Hellscream was born.

If you care about spoilers, dont watch

http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=s4AgYanQc_4

This is better than the cinematic.

Spoilers about the questline after this cutscene-

The king of stormwind returns. Varimathras betrays Sylvanus and overtakes the Undercity. In the war to reclaim the undercity (which players of alliance and horde take part in) Thrall and the King meet. The king declares all out war on the horde, and is about to start wrecking Thrall's shit up when Lady Jaina freezes everyone and teleports all the alliance to Stormwind.

Screw you Warhammer Online. Blizzard, my gods, my teachers, I am on my knees. I never doubted you. It's beautiful.

Old. I saw this like, six hours ago. Or like five. something like that.

(my favorite part is the red dragonflight. i love dragon lore. i hate how the dragons are becoming less and less significant, although I hear interesting rumors about Nozdormu..)

That's weird! Because I find dragons incredibley dull and uninteresting. Theyre big fucking lizards that spit fire, have 0% culture, 0% personality and 0% variation. (Different coloured scales/elements is NOT variation)

I like WoW dragons as they are excellent plot devices, but hell, even in terms of a raid boss I'd prefer a Gruul type boss to an Onyxia one.

I still don't know how Blizzard can get away with animating the faces so little. Putress, Arthas and Saurfang look great, but Bolvar..He needs a full helm.

Also, lack of trolls and gnomes. WHAT ABOUT THE REJECT RACES BLIZZARD!?

(although saying that, gnomes do get a sweet little plotline in wotlk)

EDIT- The next expansion is going to be emerald dream, dealing with the Nightmare? Which is probably Deathwing related? Oh, shame about Malygos going crazy. I really hope they pull that off because I cant believe you can just casually "put down" a dragon aspect. Nuff dragons yet?

Arr Pee for the win. If only my server had variation, all it is is cyberelves and lolhumans. No gnomes or dwarves at all.

Night Elves are so awesome, but very few are Rp'd well. WoW killed them, basically.

I have been told that I am one of the last people to RP a Nelf properly. This is sad. :(

My experiences on RP servers has been mixed - it starts out awesome and falls apart. Then I transferred everything I had onto Moon Guard, as it was hailed as the last great haven for RP. And basically, it is cliqueish and possesses WAY too many huge egos. There is absolutely NO sense of community. It mostly sucks. My disappointment is palpable.

Download SotDRP

Works fine, probably a whole different style to WoW RP, though.

Moon Guard is definitely cliqueish, but the server is so damn big now its not hard to cut yourself out a nice peice of area to pee on for yourself so to speak.
