I assume you receive those annoying balloon pop ups?
1. Start regedit.exe.
2. Go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
3. Create a new DWORD value called EnableBalloonTips.
4. Give it a decimal value of 0 (zero)
5. Click OK.
6. Close regedit.
