Could we stop calling it skinning and start calling it texturing? Skinning is related to animation, not textures.

People are never going to stop referring to it as that because they're used to things like UI skinning.

Glad to see ya back, Jac.

I think the last time I saw you was Guild Wars alpha, god that was long ago.

What are you up to these days?

Verrryyy long time ago. =D Nothing too special. Game-wise I'm just getting over my SC2 campaign addiction and I'm in a WoW raiding guild (for just about three years now). RL-wise, slow but steady. And I now have ferrets, which is another obsession of mine.

How about you? How've you been?

skinning, texturing, same idea in the end.

Still, I so would LOVE a ToB game in SC2. So far SC2's custom maps have been epic fail. But it is still relatively new.

Eh, alright. 2 Jobs, finishing my extended college experience, quit WoW sometime after leading a raiding guild before the whole Icecrown thing came and I had the account deleted so I don't go back.

Probably will get into SC2 at some point, been playing a ton of League of Legends. Waiting on Guild Wars 2 and Diablo III. Been off and on D&D every now and then. A little less crazy, drinky, party Dray lately.

I saw on your profile you play Gemstone IV. Man, I think I used to play Gemstone III for a long time when I used to use AOL and that was ages ago. Some crazy stuff like Vultite weapons or something I don't remember it all these days :P My g/f still plays Avatar occasionally so its amusing how MUDs still get played.

Anyhow, good to see you back. Hope all is well.

Good to see you're keeping busy, Dray. =) Yep, I'm off and on playing GSIV. Crazy-ass old game is way too expensive, but sometimes I needs a little RP. Is Avatar as expensive as GS?

Hero: They don't smell bad at all if you keep their cage/bedding/hammocks/etc clean. They have a light musky scent that reminds me of all the good parts of man perfume, without all the nasty acidity people think ought to be in there.

Anyone got either a SEA trial key I could have or account they don't mind sharing with me until I get the game? You know, so I can keep working on AoB..

I thought you didn't need an account to use the editor, and can't you just use a north american trial key? It's not like lag will be an issue.

You're probably not meant to but every time I open the editor it makes me log in. Same thing the first time I try to test a map.
Na, it's gotta be a SEA key since that's the version of the game I installed with.

Well if you reinstall with a North American client I have a few trial keys you can use. I'd be careful when you uninstall though, if I remember it deletes all your maps so back everything up. Also I remember there being a cracked version set up for offline play only, I think that would work if alls your doing is working with the editor.

They might be usable when they let us play on the US server. Installing the US client isn't really an option with our shitty capped internet.. I haven't really looked at cracks, it'd need to be able to play offline too (for testing shit).

Why don't you just install a fresh copy and not update it to the version where they added that log in thing even when using the editor and testing. That's how I currently use the editor without buying the game(tho I should and will). Tho keep in mind I have cracked mine before to check the campaign so I'm not sure if you will be able to test without cracking too. Its easy anyway so it shouldn't be a problem.
