1.01 Welcome to the item shop

1.02 Mercenaries for hire

1.03 Pooling one's resources, Towering, Building Stats and Creep Info

1.04 Sharing unit control, can I trust you?

1.05 Boogieman HAS LEFT THE GAME. Player#1:omfg he was afk for the whole game, I wanna rape his ass. Player#2:fucking laggers, RM this shit. Omega_ii#3: I'll control 2 heroes in the mid lanes, sum1 from mid go bottom, play on you newbs, only a retarded monkey with 4 asses should have trouble controlling 2 units.......

1.06 To Cheese? or not to Cheese..... you think it's really over??? =D

1.07 Extensive Hero List, Hints and suggested item combinations, stats are all based on level 18.

0.99 Hosting on Battle.net

Short and sweet, make simple game names, ie: tides of beer, tides of bob saget, tides of baked beetles......
next, it's usually best to boot downloaders, if you're nice you'll let them download as long as there is an open slot, or direct them to the website, otherwise, lose em, and most importantly, never start the game as SOON as the last spot fills, question that new joiner as to whether he is staying. Oh and most importantly, always listen to the host, if he tells you to move to the other team, it's wise to listen, or you will likely get booted, hosts make the ToB world go round.

0.999999999 Gold

You Start with 200 Gold (good players will sometime pool to an important hero as soon as game begins so sum1 like warden, sashi, malf or pirate can beef up on items or exp tomes), you continually generate gold in 3 Gold ticks i believe, YOUR VAULT IS WHAT GIVES YOU GOLD TICKS, Creeps give about 10-30 gold if you land the killing blow, heroes give 100g, towers give 200g and Castles and the vault give 400 gold upon killing blow.(Also, you lose some gold when you die)

1.00 The Art of Teamwork

This entire game is teamwork, skill level means nothing if you don't work together, as SOON as the game begins, this is the IDEAL situation of what should happen, everyone picks a hero, ONE hero needs to go top, 2 people in the left mid lane, 2 people in the right mid lane, and ONE hero on bottom. When deciding what hero's should go where, let's just say crowd pushers, or heroes who are vulnerable in the mid are the best choices for top and bottom, ie: maiden, jean, blood mage..... dark ranger, shadow hunter, pory (note: Pory is Maiden's crowd pushing equal)...... While the heros who should go mid should be able to survive well, run fast, and stun the shit out of people, with 4 heroes in mid, at least 2-3 should be STUNNERS or big damage dealers.....sashi, leto, cow..... scion, dotm, pirate
Oh and for you people who 5v5 4v4, or god forbid 3v3 and 2v2 let's just say.... the less people there is in game, the more the outcome depends how item Beefed your heroes are, other than that it's just all about hero combinations, strategy and teamwork.

1.03 Pooling Ones Resources, Towering, Building Stats and Creep Info

Note: Prior to towering it can be helpful to pool to certain heros for a few VERY SELECT expensive items, examples are : Daggers for Pirate / Cow, or Frost Wyrm Shields for Malf, Jean, Shadow Hunter, DOTM, just make sure they're not morons who will squander the money.
It is wise to pool all extra gold and blood, (and by extra I mean most of it after you get the bare essentials in items and mercs) to begin the construction of towers. The person you pool your resources to, should be experienced in doing so, and should also be a hero that seldom dies as to prevent the loss of gold (you lose gold when you die)

Here are the Basic Rules for building towers, you are limited to FOUR (4) towers on every ONE (1) Spawning Keep [2 spawn keeps in your main base, 1 at the top, 1 at the bottom] (I find it wise to start with witch/mage towers in your middle lanes as they cast spells which believe it or not, can help a great deal in hero/creep killing, then follow up with aboms or knights) The key is to not to overdo it on any specific tower, many different combinations work well.

If you insist on building towers on the top or bottom, it's best to start with a witch/mage tower BUT ONLY 1 (witch towers are excellent in helping heroes such as Shadow Hunter prevent damage from Melee Heroes, and their placement should be in such places as to prevent them from being destroyed easily by cheese attacks, thus building them on TOP of your keeps or towers, (YES YOU CAN PLACE THEM ON TOP OF BUILDINGS LIKE TOWERS AND KEEPS), Also those towers should be spaced apart in a way that if a hero uses his ultimate on it, all 4 towers won't take damage, but NEVER build one out in the open where many units could surround it and destroy quickly.

Advanced Towering: Dark Ranger (good hero to pool gold to) You get allied tower technology for stealing a worker, but I'll leave those combinations to the forums.

Tower costs:
3000G 6 Blood for any tower
1000G 12 Blood to upgrade it (Generates More Waves)

Tower Stats:(TBC)
All Stats Below are Equal on both Allies and Undead (Alliance building names are used)
[Worker Built Spawn Towers]: (1500 Health, Armor ?:?)
[Castle]:(8000 Health, Armor 18: Fortified)-Destruction of this building ends the game.
[Keep]:(6000 Health, Armor 18: Fortified)
[Vault]:(6000 Health, Armor 0: Fortified) *Note, destruction of this building stops your money ticks, also, the only spell that hurts it is the warlocks ultimate, it is immune to magic.
[Guard Tower]:(1800, Armor 6:Fortified), (Piercing, Fast, 57-71, 900 Range)
[Cannon Tower]:(2000, Armor 6:Fortified), (Piercing, Average, 91-112, 900 Range)

Tower Creep Spawns:

[Soldier/Ghoul]: (480 Health, Armor 3:Heavy, Moves Average), (Normal, Fast, 19-22, Melee)
[Death Orc/Allied Captain]:(640 Health, Armor 6: Heavy, Moves Average), (Normal, Fast, 28-31, Melee)
[Archer/Hunter]: (350 Health, Armor 4:Medium, Moves Average)
[Death Wizard/Druid]:Item Slots:2(330 Health, Armor 0: Unarmored, Moves Average), (Magic, Average, 36-39, 600 Range)
Worker Tower Spawns: Will have to update once I play online.
[Abomination/Knight]: (???), (???)
[Wagon/Mortar]: (???), (???)
[Witch/Mage]: (???), (???), (???)

1.04 Sharing Unit Control, Can I Trust YOU?

Sharing unit control with your allies is a very helpful tool, as long as they are not idiots. It allows for easier micro, and if someone goes AFK or is not watching their mercenaries, you can control it. But please be aware of the DREADED DOUBLE GREEN CIRCLE ON ONE HERO, 1 person and 1 person only should be controlling a unit, if you see a circle around it and it's being controlled, or is en route to going somewhere, DO NOT FUCKING TOUCH IT, tyvm. Also don't use another person's hero if they give you control, unless you get permission.
Sharing unit control is also very essential in performing a co-ordinated attack against the enemies Main Base or Vault(Also known as Cheesin), which IF you are in a LOSING game is a VERY good idea. The idea is that when ALL the heroes on your team have shared control, you can all enter 1 airship, have a runner to the location, and teleport there. (Note:Jimmy cannot use Air Ships)

1.05 Lots of Senseless Typing?

I can understand remaking a game if people are lost at the start of a game, but if only 1-2 players are lost late in the game, control 2 heroes and stick it out you pansies.

1.06 Cutting to the Cheese. (Trying these things in a losing game, or even a winning one to be a jerk, is one of the most beautiful Micro Management experiences you will ever enjoy, and even if it fails, it's far more exciting that playing out the boring motions of a predicted game ie: stacked teams)

Mule Scouting: Mules with no items can be placed in various locations in order scout out a possible mass mercenary attacks as they are cheap and can be set on patrol.

Maiden Cheese: Just play the fucking character Drunk in a Coma, then tell ME how to cheese towers with her, steal items with the birds, kill air ships with the birds, kill tanks with her etc...... This is a good hero for STARTING PLAYERS, lol... I really only enjoy her if I use the Dagger of escape, it adds a little spark to her usual boring YEW.

Dark Ranger Cheese: Using a collection of mass Mercenaries stolen over the period of a game, the Dark Ranger is able to perform many of these Cheeses listed below in ways other hero's can't, as her charm ability puts her food way over the limit, and allows otherwise neutral characters such as the mortar, mages etc.... to be used in more mobile purposes.

Keep Cheese: Using similar tactics listed below, (Moving large groups of mercenaries undetected) you can inflict serious damage on the top undead or bottom alliance keeps. It simply requires mass Druids/Death Wizards to be walked into the back door of the base, using a hero to tank the tower/creep hits, and taking it out by surprise. Necromancer's casting Unholyfrenzy on the Mercenaries helps greatly.

The Solo Hero Cheese: Should only be performed by these heroes ALONE: [Jimmy, Pirate, Pory (Note: go in with full beetle arsenal and blow them on towers/ Leto, Sashi, Battle Rager]

Note: Variations of More advanced Solo Attacks on the vault can be done by: DOTM, Warlock, Scion, Shadow Hunter / Maiden, Jean, Blood Mage, Malf......... However they are difficult to perform and often leave you vulnerable, instead 1 of these heroes should assist a PRIMARY Cheese hero to greatly increase their chances.

Here is how it's done, you need an arsenal of items and mercenaries, all of which need to be concealed while you get them, so while you accumulate mercenaries and items, they should all be kept in your main base with the items on a mule. So, on your hero, you need these items, boots of speed, anti magic potion or double shot espresso, 1-2 health potions. The items you need to conceal on your mule are: Scroll of Animate Dead, Scroll of Healing, Scroll of Protection (Protection is optional, that's why I said 1-2 health potions)
The mercenaries you need are, 1 Sorceress/Necromancer, 1 Mule to bring you the items RIGHT before you go for it, and you need to max out the rest of your food with nothing but Allied Captains/Death Orcs. Once you have gathered everything you need, you have to walk your hero and your small army over to the enemie's vault using the backdoor routes so you will not be seen by any heroes or creeps, once you arrive, you lead your hero in to take tower hits (Note:always make sure the towers are on your hero, so for sashi you have to wait until after he lands his WInd before you move the army in) Then use your hero's skills to kill the creeps guarding it and ressurect them with the Scroll of Animate Dead.

At this point, you have 1 of 2 options, you can either target the towers which is an almost guaranteed kill, to make way for vault harrassing, or you can move all your death orcs/captains immediately onto the vault in the hopes of destroying it before any enemies arrive to stop you (This does work, but if a hero comes with strong area of effect spells, you will fail). Sometimes I just go after the Strong Cannon tower in the middle, kill it, then go after the vault leaving the other 2 towers behind. Once all your units are attacking either the vault or towers, this is when you need to use your items to heal yourself and your units, (Hold Alt to keep an eye on everyone's health) and your skills consistently to inflict damage on the towers, remember, the vault is immune to all spells, EXCEPT the warlock's ultimate spell. Also if an enemy hero comes, you need to decide whether he is worth killing or not, if he has area of effect spells that will kill your mercs, you must immediately target him, but if it's someone like warden with solo spells, keep attacking the buildings, remember this is a suicide mission.

Advanced Cheesin on Main Base or Vault: In the unusually rare case you get 6 decent players on 1 team who are all willing to share control, and allow ONE person to control the air ship, and the Hero Runner, here are your options:

Runners, Take Your Mark: Warden/Jimmy for Undead, Leto for Alliance:
For Warden and Leto, there is a path along the cliffs, (On the bottom left of Undead Base, On the Top right of Alliance Base) That you can use to Blink or Bindu into the enemy base nearly undetected.....As For Jimmy, he must walk to the alliance base undetected, and enter either from the top or bottom entrance and walk directly to the castle. Having Warden blink in front of him to take hits is helpful as she provides another teleport pad and she can warp out to heal, thus giving jimmy more health to be the main tank.

1) Full Team Vault Cheese Do a 4-6 hero drop on the vault un-expectedly, (Note:has to be co-ordinated and pulled off quickly, heros in the air ship all at the same time, 1 already at the vault waiting, this can be done by using zero items or very few items)

2) Main Base Cheese: Before we get into this, there are 2 routes to take, each with their own pro's and con's.

A) Losing the element of surprise: Target the two Cannon/Nerubian Towers just beside the Main castle by doing a dry 6 man drop on the main using nearly no items, in order to clear the path for a second drop in which you would use all items and target the Main Castle. (Also use the full merc Airship drop explained below on the second attack...)

B) The Surprise Attack: (This is a 6 man drop, the main target is the castle, attacks on the castle will only be diverted to heroes who have skills that could easily kill your heroes example: leto, pory....) Your inventory, every hero needs to stock up on essential life saving items before entering the air ship, ie: Potions, Scrolls, Animate dead, Anti-magic, similar to whats needed for vault cheese, remember these are suicide runs. All 6 of you need to focus on using spell cooldowns as often as possible with everything you have to inflict damage on this building.

C) You've read this far huh? so you're really think you can pull it off with a boatload of morons who play on bnet? Well then sir I commend you, in order for this to be a true success, there is 1 final piece missing. All 5 Heroes need to be in the SAME AIRSHIP, THEN, EVERY person needs to have their own airships, that = 7 airships, the 6 not filled with heroes, should all be filled with 4-6 Death Wizards/Druids(100G each) with maybe 1 Death Orc/Allied Captain or 1-2 Necromancer/Sorceress if you're confident in your abilities. Once the Airship full of heroes is teleported in, it should be unloaded immediately, once YOUR hero hits ground, you immediately teleport in YOUR airship of mercs on YOURSELF, if everyone can do this in a timely manner, and use Scrolls of Healing/Protection to keep everything alive while you mass target the main base with every unit and every spell you have.........

3) You Win. Oh, and once all your heroes are about level 11-13, they DO have the strength to pull this off, and if the opposing team is underleveled, it will work. Maybe even levels 8-11 could pull it off, who knows.....

1.07 Heros: I will make 2 seperate forum posts of Alliance and Undead for this.
Enjoy. (I'll include my guide on how to steal items with pory in this part)
