Seems i cant leave my PC before you guys decd to call it quits
Anyway, if someone still reads this thread, you may or may not be interested in hearing that i have now been in Sudan for a little less than a month, and im starting to settle in. The temperature is nice and warm, being wintertime and all, usually about 20 degrees at night and up to 40 degrees in the daytime.
The people here are really nice as well, i have colleagues from all over the world at my teamsite. The locals are warm and welcoming (possibly because we inflate their economy by quite a lot).
Theres no real fighting going on in my area, so that means that patrolling is down to a minimum, and we have lots of free time.
The only real downside to all this is the fact that we have an amazingly slow internet connection. The whole teamsite, including our Kenyan force protection battallion and our UN police contingent, as we as ourselves share a 64 Kbit sattelite connection, so just logging into this thread has taken me the better part of 10 minutes
Anyyway, i just wanted to let you all know that im still alive and kicking, and im loooking forward to getting back to civilization (expected about early september) and having a nice game with you guys again.
See you around
