Some of the old members are active, some occasionally drop in. Like Gandalf yesterday, briefly saw you online, but I think you logged off before I could say yo.

O rly? I have you on my friends list but I didn't see you on, otherwise I would have said hey. I occasionally come on for a game of dota every now and then.

I admit to losing interest on a steady decline. Too many assholes to sift through in order to have a halfway decent game.

Saw you on again the other day, but you don't show as having me on your list. :)

I've been digging out my PS2 and playing a couple games on that. Borrowed God of War, though I'm more an RPG guy than action/adventure guy, and am playing my PS1 version of Diablo. Probably should fire up Dragon Quest 8 again, haven't played it in months.

I still play dota here and there, but I'm also slowly losing interest. I never got into a lot of other maps, even the TDs, so lack current anything else.

Sorry for the lag in my replies, Gand. I haven't been FPA to this thread as much as I maybe should.

Don't worry about it NRJ, I only come here because I made it part of my routine when I first get up waaaayy back when and now, well it's routine lol.

Ah old school eh? You should get one of those new fan dangled online games that the kids are all talkin aboot! Left 4 Dead is pretty good as well as Team Fortress 2. Or are you holding out for SC2?

I must have the wrong name added to my friends list but I thought NRJyzer was it....

Yeah, common mistake; no "e" in my ID/nick. :)

I actually got this PS2 as a Xmas gift last year. I'd always relied on using #1 son's consoles for the few games I had, but when he bought his own place, I was left without one. My wife remembered me saying something about maybe buying a used rig and suggested it as a possible gift idea.

I'm actually thinking of scoring some old PS1 games to play on it, like Vandal Hearts, and recovering my long loaned out copy of Ogre Battle. Also thinking of replacing the lost Dragon Warrior VII I never got to finish before it was lost.

Only sometimes, and in this case, it's being used as one. However, I am intentionally overlooking that to further my own purposes...

So what else is new.. Tiny is like the village bicycle, everyone gets to ride.

I hardly see how that's going to help your plan of world domination.. :o

Resurrecting the thread from days gone by...

Gand, yes, I still work for The Man. Got about nine years until I'm eligible for early retirement. Being able to retire, in a monetary sense, is another story.

So what kind of gig you got?

Hah oh man, last post was '08.

I think it is very rare for people to actually be able to retire in financial terms these days. People still do it though, hell I would do it if I could just sacrifice steak for the rest of my life in order to be able to nothing all day every day (except golf, I must still be able to golf :D ).

I'm a good ol' software engineer. I work for a really small company so I do a lot of different things designing and developing software. I feel I'm actually pretty lucky, most new software eng grads go to places like IBM and RIM and though some may get development jobs, people usually start off with boring testing positions. I'm horribly underpaid, but my commute is a 10 min walk so I feel it's a good compromise.

How are your kids? Safe and sound I hope.

Nice commute.

These days, my commute is down to a 20 foot walk, most days anyway, as I'm able to work from home quite a bit. Set up my work laptop right next to one of the two PCs we have if I want, or sit in the recliner with dogs on my lap. It's not bad. LOL

Boys are ok. #1 son got a condo with his girlfriend, works for Target (corporate, not in one of the stores). #2 son graduated college a year ago, has an office job with the Feds, working hard on his band.

So stuff is mostly good. Work can be a pain, our mgmt likes to reorganize things every so often, probably so no one can really tell just how messed up it is. And they keep promoting the wrong people, so the idiots are just making it worse. Hard to give a shit that way. <shrug>

Went back to page one of this thread, 2006 was when this thread started. Long time...

I actually saw zero log on a couple weeks ago, he was on for a whole minute at most, then logged back off before I could shoot him a msg to say yo.

As long as you keep getting a pay cheque it's ok to not give a shit lol.

Working from home is awesome. I've done it once or twice, though I must admit I didn't do much actual work. I really have to come into the office, too much distraction at home.

Hah oh man, 2006. I saw a reference to SNT on the first page as well. Looking at that thread would be crazy as I was back in high school when we were in SNT. It's lost to the nether of the old board though.

I'm still debating whether to reinstall wc3 for O. My time to play games has been limited lately and idk if it is worth the effort.

Can't hurt to install. Even if you only get the odd game every other week, it's more than you'd have were you to never install WC3. :)

Been in the office two days straight now, albeit only a couple hours each time. These two hour trips to the office are a lot easier to manage. LOL
