There's not a lot there that we weren't able to do ourselves, but programmatic access to cooldowns would've been great to have back in the day. Edit: And mana cost.

Tooltip is kinda awesome too. Edit: dang, seems I imagined seeing that in the list..
I wonder how changing cooldowns will work while already on cooldown, should probably go to the ptr and try it out.

I remember seeing tooltip as well. It was at the class level, though, not the instance level, so couldn't be used for anything interesting, like socketing or dynamic ability effects.

I installed War3 again and tested ToB! I'm in love all over again! I only could test single player so far, and everything worked. It's still a beautiful game.

The wide-screen side-gaps on the starting menu doesn't bother me. That green vegetation still kinda fits. Better than the total black-out blanks on the sides of the War3 main menu.

Old maps still work overall, but there have been some unintended consequences due to slot changes. For example, maps that have neutral owners for shops that were not directly allied will result in the player being unable to sell extra items, which included DotA and several other classic maps. I only briefly checked ToB, and it did not have this problem. The player colors for Allies and Undead changed.

I have various memories from various versions, so I'm not exactly sure how things are supposed to be, and if it's in order.

A couple things I noticed are:

- The two shop keepers far outside, like the Pandarian, are considered hostile (red selection circle).
You can still buy from them, but can't sell to them, which isn't a big deal since you can sell in the shops at home.
- You can't play the game single player on Undead side, because the start menu buttons don't react to your clicks.
- The Blood Elementals from Blood Mage don't give health back when they unsummon from time out.
- When being single player, the game doesn't give you max level heroes from start.
It also doesn't give you control over the whole team in single player.

Not sure if it's been like that before in this version or if it's supposed to be that way, just sayin for what it matters.

The texture on the doors looks like it tiles at the edges. If so you could extend the opening screen pretty easily by mirroring each side.

Otherwise, funny bugs. I was just thinking about the ridiculous build pipeline for O. There were so many post-processing steps, every time was a chore. Amazing that it still runs.

Man it seems impossible to get any sort of pub game going. All I've seen is bots hosting games, but all empty, an eerie ghost town. Maybe a legit Melee game sprinkled in between somewhere.

I mostly play with a terrible Discord group, so I can play plenty of games. ToB is very rare, though.

So uh.. prolly not the best topic to mention it but... Blizz is now offering Premium Maps in Bnet for SC2. That means you can buy these maps for about 5$ each. Currently they only offer two maps. One is a special version of Desert Strike, a tug of war map, and the other is some RPG thing that they commissioned from a mapper. Both are from former community mappers. I don't know what it exactly takes for a mapper to be featured as paid Premium map, or what cut Blizz takes. But that's that. I remember almost 10 years ago when they were first talking about this kinda thing.... well now it's here. Meanwhile SC2 itself has become kinda free to play, in that the Arcade and other multiplayer is free as a client, and even parts of the single player campaign.
