Diablo 3

Postby Zeuter » Fri Oct 22, 2010 12:37 pm

Couldn't find the old thread (if there had ever been one), so I made a new one.

The final class has been revealed, it's the... DEMON HUNTER. Gee.

So basically Amazon+Assassin? Looked like she had some trap like abilities.

They also announced that PvP was 3v3 arena matches. Lame.

Well, the Diablo 2 classes were pretty bland. So if they take the good stuff out of the old classes and merge them into new ones thats good I guess. Lets just hope they don't have to add more clappy classes for the expansion set.

Everything else for the game has looked fantastic. The Monk and Witch Doctor especially are ace.

Double crossbows. Man that's lame. I was really hoping for a rifleman or a pirate, but I mean come on DOUBLE CROSSBOWS. Lol.

Reminds me of that penny arcade comic several years ago where there making fun of modern fantasy novels, and the hero wields two wands. Or that dude who uses three swords in One Piece (with one in his mouth).

The grenade, bolo, etc those are all cool, but double crossbows. Lame.

Watched the trailer. I just hate their style. Theres just something terribly wrong with how those people look in that trailer. And wizard trailer too.

They dont look real at all, neither nicely artistic or anything like that. I just hate that style for somereason. Hrm.

And yea, that Demon Hunter shooting with double crossbows while jumping, matrix style, is just ...

I still probably end up buying that game. Being a huge Corto Maltese -fan I wanna make a female witch doctor called Gold Mouth.

Huh? I thought the Witch Doctor was pretty much a totally-not-a-necromancer kindof class.
I mean, curses - check, undead summons - check; and so you get voodoo magic in place of bone magic. 'kay.

Weapons might be part of the characters now and only upgradable/customizable. They changed so many other things, why not this.

What in the world is going on with those hips, waist and thighs anyway? I thought Warcraft was Blizzard's "cartoony" franchise.

Blizzard doesn't have "cartoony" and "real" games, everything they do is exaggerated. People seem to not realize this because they think Diablo 2 was dark and real. It's more like they were more limited and had less of an established aesthetic back then.

That game came out when? 1998 or something? IIRC that whole game was shitty 3d models rendered down into sprites. They didn't have the polygons to flare out hips like this. Get used to Blizzard's style cause it isn't gonna change.

I did actually notice her face immediately, how it had NO detail whatsoever. Very plain looking. No texture... but oh well.

I like everything but the double crossbows. It's just kind of silly. Unless she'd be like, a telekinetic or something, that would be BADASS, double wielding corssbows reloading BOLTS with your MIND. FUCK YEAH.
