I've been told by friends that attended UChi that grades aren't really the selling point, so much as it is exceptionally important to write a kickass essay.

Mine was a short story about Chicago burning down to the tune of "London Mourning in Ashes".

If you wanna do west coast I could host in summer 2010, but otherwise I thought that the plan was a certain someone's beach house in FL?

I'm going to be too poor to do it this year unless I carpool with someone.

Yeah I'm pretty sure shit ain't going down. But that's okay, because I plan on taking the reins for a TobCon in 2010.

I would think they'd see more use for beer pong.

In any case, happy barfday HB. Don't throw it all up in one place.

I am, at current, killing a bottle of wine and talking to Ryvor, and the topic came up that there is a 20%+ chance that I will be helping a friend of mine move to Irvine this summer. If this happens, I am planning on making an adventure of it. West Coast hang out time should happen. I demand it, and I will not be denied.

If you're talking about summer as in May, then woo! If you're talking about summer as in anything BUT May, then boo!
I know the pieces fit, 'cause I watched them tumble down.

I look forward to breaking you down psychologically until you weep openly. I haven't done that to anyone in months! edit: Scratch that. It's been a year!

I'm sorry, but in that, I am bound to disappoint. I am incapable of weeping, or being broken down psychologically. :(

Anyone else reminded of this?

In high school debate, it was my goal to make someone break down into tears after watching someone else do it my first meet. Unfortunately, the best public humiliation I was able to gift someone was an entire audience laughing at them during the final round. I think we took second place because of that, but it was worth it.

Well, if you end up around the Modesto area at all, and I have somehow managed to keep my current apartment, I have a spare room you could crash in. That offer actually extends to most of the regulars if they're ever in the area.

If the house across the street from my parent's goes into foreclosure, my brother and I are buying it to make a family compound. It would be perfect for Tobcon, and hopefully will happen sometime in the next couple months.
