They are. That's really the only reason we're still here.

If it were anyone else I'd probably have left a long time ago. The rent is 1300/mo.

There's houses we can buy that are much nicer where our monthly paymet would be roughly 800.

So I really don't know what they are going to do when we leave. They definitely can't afford to keep it.

I got put on the waitlist there for undergrad, but didn't bother waiting for a reply, as I got full tuition at Tulane! What are you studying Myth and Heros?

Yar, I forgot my password to my old forum name, and since I've been lurking for god knows how long (5+years?) I went the lazy man approach and made a new username that even I don't entirely know by memory.

My only dealings with you Myth have been leveling to like level 20 on a druid on the server you and Taggwynn played on, and maybe a wc3 game or two?

I always wondered about the "Galt" in his name. I think he even had a picture of the Galt sign or something. I don't do much bar hopping usually...

If you come to CA you're going to have to help me work on a board game!

Also - riotgames can be an incredible opportunity. They are a tiny company with huge potential because they are focusing their product on a relatively large market of DotA fans. They are really focusing all of their effort into a fantasy environment, competitive multiplayer game.

Lets face it - single player development is a waste of effort. It's hard (and expensive) to do it right and it the reward is limited. Additionally to have any staying power you'll need to have multiplayer as well.

So why not cut the cost and focus on multiplayer where there's already a significant population interested.

It's a pretty safe move if you ask me.

They are using a formula that's proven so there's no major risk there. Given the side of the project they don't need to sell an insane amount to break even.

I don't think it'll be a huge success but I think they have their niche and no competition from any other developers so I don't think they can fail.

Oh! I see it now! His forum name is like one of those magic eye puzzles to me. I saw the Flammable part and was like, "Heyyy" but the rest of it meant nothing. XD I have brain damage.

Not sure if i'll go though, i dont really like the idea of living in the states to be perfectly honest... I'd much reather stay in europe. But we'll see, internship abroad should be fun.

Deadline is March 1 or March 15. A lot of schools have later dates for transfers as well. For example, Yale's deadline is April 1. And you don't hear back from them until June. Which is so awesome.

Applying to Chicago was only a thought in the back of my head. Maybe I'll fill out an application. I'm not really an attractive transcript though.
